亚太国际仲裁院代表团到访SDCAA，就跨境仲裁合作开展深入交流

On November 16, 2025, a delegation from the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber (APIAC) visited the San Diego Chinese Attorneys Association (SDCAA). The two sides engaged in in-depth and practical discussions on emerging trends in international arbitration, cross-border dispute resolution mechanisms, and future joint initiatives. The meeting strengthened mutual understanding and laid a solid foundation for ongoing collaboration.

2025年11月16日，亚太国际仲裁院（Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber, APIAC）代表团一行访问圣地亚哥华人律师协会(San Diego Chinese Attorneys Association, SDCAA），双方围绕国际仲裁趋势、跨境争议解决合作模式及未来联合活动规划开展了深入、务实的交流。此次会面不仅促进双方机构的相互了解，也为进一步合作奠定了坚实基础。

The delegation consisted of Nicole Zhang, Director of APIAC’s U.S. Arbitration Center; Lili Ma, Vice Chair of APIAC’s Canada Arbitration Center; and Jenny Zhang, APIAC Arbitrator. They were warmly received by SDCAA Vice President Olivia Ren, Treasurer Lianlian Wu, and Secretary General Qin Li.

此次代表团由亚太国际仲裁院美国仲裁中心负责人Nicole Zhang、加拿大仲裁中心副主席 Lili Ma 以及亚太国际仲裁院仲裁员Jenny Zhang组成。SDCAA方面由副会长Olivia Ren、财务长Lianlian Wu、秘书长Qin Li热情接待。

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on global developments in international arbitration, including the rising demand for arbitration driven by U.S.–China and Asia-Pacific trade, corporations’ growing need for efficient and predictable dispute-resolution mechanisms, and the importance of strengthening cooperation among arbitration institutions to better serve businesses operating across jurisdictions. The discussion also touched on the advantages of arbitration for emerging industries such as technology, manufacturing, and cross-border investment.

在会谈中，双方首先就当前国际仲裁在全球范围内的发展趋势交换了看法，包括：中美及亚太地区跨境贸易增长带来的仲裁需求增加；企业在处理国际争议时对高效、可预期、灵活的仲裁机制需求日益增强；仲裁机构需要加强国际合作，以更好地服务不同司法辖区的企业与法律从业者；在新兴行业（如科技、制造、跨境投资）中采用仲裁解决争议的优势。

Drawing on its extensive local practice experience, the SDCAA team shared common challenges faced by Chinese businesses involved in international commercial disputes—including linguistic barriers, forum-selection strategy, and differences in evidentiary rules—and emphasized that arbitration is an effective tool for improving the efficiency of cross-border dispute resolution.

SDCAA 律师团队结合在美国本地的专业经验，分享了华人企业在国际商业争议中的常见痛点，包括语言差异、选庭策略、证据规则差异等问题，并指出仲裁是提升跨境争议处理效率的有效手段。

Both parties agreed that SDCAA’s influence among local Chinese businesses and professionals is highly complementary to APIAC’s expertise in cross-border dispute resolution. The key areas of future collaboration include:

双方一致认为，SDCAA 在本地华人企业与专业人士中的影响力，与亚太国际仲裁院在跨境争议解决领域的专业性具有高度互补性。未来合作的重点方向包括：

l Promoting arbitration awareness within the Chinese communities of San Diego and Southern California through seminars, workshops, and online sessions to help business owners, attorneys, and young practitioners better understand arbitration mechanisms.
为圣地亚哥及南加州华人社区开展仲裁知识普及：通过讲座、沙龙、线上分享等形式，让企业主、律师、青年从业者更好了解仲裁机制。

l Providing practical training on cross-border arbitration, including drafting arbitration clauses, case management, evidence presentation, and enforcing arbitral awards in the United States and Asia.
跨境仲裁实务培训：包括仲裁条款起草、案件管理、证据呈示、在美国与亚洲执行裁决等主题。

l Establishing a U.S.–China arbitration exchange platform to encourage broader participation from legal and business communities in learning about and practicing international arbitration.
搭建中美仲裁交流平台：推动更多法律界、商界人士参与国际仲裁的学习与实践。

The two sides have preliminarily agreed to jointly host a themed arbitration event in January 2026. The event will include expert discussions on global trends in international arbitration, case studies on collaboration between overseas arbitration institutions and the North American legal community, and practical guidance on selecting arbitration clauses in commercial contracts. An interactive networking session will also be featured to promote professional engagement and cooperation. The event aims to further enhance local Chinese businesses’ understanding of arbitration mechanisms while providing legal practitioners with more practical experience and professional resources.

双方初步确定，将于2026年1月联合举办一场主题仲裁活动，内容将涵盖国际仲裁趋势的专题分享、海外仲裁机构与北美法律界合作的典型案例、企业在合同中选择仲裁条款的实务要点等，并设有现场互动交流环节，以便促进业内合作。该活动旨在进一步提升本地华人企业对仲裁机制的认知度，同时为法律从业者带来更丰富的实务经验与专业资源支持。

This visit reflects the shared vision of both parties to advance the development of cross-border legal services. SDCAA stated that it will continue to serve as a bridge, introducing more international arbitration and high-end legal service institutions to the community, helping Chinese businesses better navigate the legal risks and opportunities brought by globalization. The APIAC delegation also expressed its expectation to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with SDCAA, host more events in the future, and jointly enhance the influence of arbitration within the North American Chinese community.

此次访问体现了双方共同促进跨境法律服务发展的愿景。SDCAA表示，将持续发挥桥梁作用，推动更多国际仲裁、高端法律服务机构走进社区，帮助华人企业更好应对全球化带来的法律风险与机遇。亚太国际仲裁院代表团也表示，期待与SDCAA建立长期合作机制，未来举办更多活动，共同增强仲裁在北美华人社区的影响力。
